NAT Preparation Classes
NAT (Nihongo Ability Test) is a widely accepted Japanese language test designed to evaluate your proficiency in practical Japanese. It is recognized by many language schools and vocational institutions across Japan. NAT is especially popular among students applying for language-based study and training programs. The test certificate is valid for 2 years.
NAT Test Levels and Requirements
NAT has five levels, from 5Q (beginner) to 1Q (advanced):
- 5Q: Basic greetings and sentence patterns. Suitable for complete beginners.
- 4Q: Understands simple grammar and vocabulary.
- 3Q: Intermediate-level communication, including everyday conversation.
- 2Q: Advanced comprehension needed for university entrance.
- 1Q: Highest level, close to native fluency.
Minimum NAT Requirement for Studying in Japan
Most Japanese language schools accept NAT 5Q or 4Q. For higher education, NAT 2Q or above is preferred.
